Proberbs 28-29
Psalm 60
Romans 16

S: Romans 16:17

"And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people's faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them."

O: Paul knew that the Romans would have opposing forces. He knew that people would try to persuade the believers. That people would give the believers false hope and that they needed to protect themselves from such indiviuals. They the believers must stay away from these sort of people - we mustn't put ourselves in situations where we could be led astray.

A: We (believers) are no different than the Romans were. We must protect our heart and our faith from those who try and lead us astray. We must continue to strive after Jesus and build a strong faith so that we have the ability to run away when people come into our lives and try and lead us astray. Sometimes the words these people speak sound appealing but if they cause division or are contrary to what Jesus and the bible teach the effect on our lives could be detrimental! We mustn't let these people influence us!

P: Lord, as I focus on you help me to identify those people who may present themselves in my life and speak contrary to your word. Allow my ears to hear that they are not of you and the knowledge to know to stay away from them. Help me not to fall for their deception and through this that you may impact their lives! Help me Lord to focus on you and not be decieved by the enemy and the enemys forces! Thank You Lord! Amen.
